Birthday Dinner

Well, It is over. We just had our Relief Society Birthday Dinner. As most of you know, I am the RS Enrichment Counselor in the presidency. It is at these times that I am the most busiest and am grateful that we only have the four enrichments a year now.(I would be very stressed if it was every month like in the days past, I feel for those who had to do it that way) Now my old friends in Virginia told me that last year for their dinner, they had a few people decorate one cake for each table in a theme ( a grandmother, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend). These were the centerpieces on the table and the dessert for after dinner. I thought what a cute and great idea. I am a big copy cat. Boy do I have everyone fooled, they all think I know what I am doing. So that is what we did. We then had a program called Women of Destiny (which I did in Virginia when I was Enrichment Counselor there) This was about seven songs from the CD in conjunction with a slide show that I put together with pictures of the various sisters in the ward. There were talks/scriptures in between the musical numbers. The last one was on Emma. As in Virginia, it turned out well. I thought I would add pictures of the various cakes below. They turned out well. We have some great sisters in the ward. Everyone involved did such a good job.

Spiderman

I thought I would share this short video of Hunter that Jeremy took the other day. Hunter bought the spiderman costume the other day with some left over Christmas money that he had. He has been wearing it everyday. He is our little spiderman.

Valentine's Day

So, I never have been that into Valentine's Day, but this morning I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't been feeling very well the past couple of days so I was sleeping in very late this morning. Jeremy comes in this morning and suprises me with a dozen roses and brought me home a little breakfast. WOW! First of all, you have to know something about Jeremy. He hates to buy flowers on Valentine's Day or any other holiday because they always bring the price way up on those days, so this was very unexpected. It was very sweet of him. I was a little out of it, so I might not have showed a great deal of enthusiasm, but I was very surprised and very grateful for a wonderful husband. So Jeremy, if you read this I love you very much and Happy Valentine's Day. (Oh by the way, he also brushed the girl's hair this morning and took them to the Flea market. What a great dad.)

American Idol

Well, we have made it through Hollywood week. Yet again, the judges have disappointed me. I can't imagine what they are thinking. It happens every year. They always put a couple through that you can tell they really don't like, but are curious of the outcome. Then they are astonished when they do not perform very well . Tatiana Del Toro and Nathaniel Marshall are those couple that made it through and shouldn't have. I am not sure I can take either one for long. Others are so much better and not annoying in the least. On a better note I have 3 favorites right now. I really like Matt Giraud and Danny Gokey. I predict they will both make it far. The third one I really like, didn't do so hot in the Hollywood week, but I like her anyway, and that is Joanna Pacitti. I hope she does well and we see a lot of growth in her. So here we come to another beginning of American Idol. I am excited, as always to see the outcome. What are some of your opinions?
